TCN transfers management of the World Forum to GL events

General Manager Michiel Middendorf: “GL events will help the World Forum to further reinforce its position on the international market.” 

In October 2009, TCN transferred the management of the World Forum to GL events. GL events manages some thirty convention centres worldwide – from Barcelona to Shanghai – and has many years of experience organising events. The collaboration is the logical next step in further reinforcing the international market position of the World Forum.

Michiel Middendorf, World Forum General Manager: “This collaboration is in perfect keeping with the international strategies of both the World Forum and GL events. It is a logical step considering the increased international attention that the World Forum has received in recent years which culminated in the UN Afghanistan summit last March. This convention allowed the World Forum to firmly put its name on the map.” The transfer of the management means that World Forum’s employees will also be transferred to GL events. Middendorf: “We have made sound agreements about this. The only thing our customers will notice is the fact that our services will only get better.”

TCN Manager Andre van Rooijen: “TCN has made extensive investments in the repositioning of the current World Forum. At this point, GL events is the ideal partner to further shape the World Forum’s international ambitions.
